Doc Art is an Italian independent production company based in Rome mainly focused on cultural documentaries (art, culture, fashion, history, graphics, archaeology).
Doc Art is managed by the award winning director Adolfo Conti and the producer Amalia Carandini (graduated at 2010 Documentary Campus Masterschool). Our main activity is the production of documentaries designed for the national and the international markets.
We devote particular attention and care at the creative aspects of the topics we deal with, at the original and innovative way we choose to treat them, engaging ourselves on the quality of the products and on the scientific accuracy of the contents. In Italy we produce mainly for RAI, SKY ARTE and public cultural institutions.
In Europe we established an extensive network of relations with independent production companies, broadcasters, distributors. We have worked in co-production and in association with broadcasters like ARTE, (France/Germany), ERT (Greece), AVROTROS (The Netherlands), SVT (Sweden), NRK (Norway), TV3 (Spain), Planète (France), RSI (Switzerland), RTV (Slovenia), DR (Denmark). Doc Art’s completed programs have been acquired by others European TV channels, as Al Jazeera, Czech TV, TSR (Switzerland), The History Channel Iberia, SKY Germany and SKY New Zealand. Doc Art is member of DOC IT (Associazione Documentaristi Italiani).
Amalia Carandini
Graduated in “History of the Theater and Entertainment” at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. In 1988 she started working for the production of television and theatrical shows.
Since 1996 she has also been involved in the staging of cultural events, mainly exhibitions of art and entertainment . In 2004 she founded the production company Doc Art, being managing director and producing documentaries either for the national and for the international market.
She’s been pitching Doc Art’s projects at the main international pitching forums, such as MIA (International Audiovisual Market) in 2015, 2018, 2019; EBU (European Broadcasting Union) in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2016; Docs Barcelona in 2006; Documentary in Europe in 2006 and 2008; Docs in Thessaloniki in 2007; Italian Doc Screenings in 2006,2014,2019.
She attended History Doc (Athens, 2007) and graduated at Documentary Campus Masterschool in 2010.

Adolfo Conti
Is a filmmaker and writer with a distinguished track record in culture documentaries. Graduated at the University in “History of Art Criticism”. He begun working as assistant director in all kinds of productions: films, TV programs, news broadcasts, high-definition programs. He has been directing documentaries and television programs since 1997. In 2004 he collaborated at the foundation of the production company Doc Art, as consultant and director, while keeping working at many productions for RAI. In 2008 he became shareholder and manager of Doc Art. His experience on the documentary field includes also writing and teaching. In 2004 he wrote the essay “Il documentario di storia e archeologia” and teached classes about documentary directing at the University of Ferrara. In 2013 he taught production of archaeological documentaries at “Scuola Archeologica Italiana ad Atene” in Athens.
